Spanish Special Education Teacher in Cicero, IL

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License required
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Demonstrated experience teaching at the junior high or high school level (grades 6–8)
- Strong focus on student engagement and individualized learning
- Consistent career history, showing dedication to supportive, long-term educational relationships
- Above-elementary teaching experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized instruction to a caseload of up to 20 students in a junior high setting
- Utilize bilingual skills to foster clear understanding, relationship-building, and academic achievement
- Partner with school staff and families to deliver supports tailored to unique learning needs
- Plan and adapt lessons that prioritize student growth and socio-emotional well-being
- Monitor student progress and maintain open communication with colleagues, administration, and guardians
- Encourage an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that respects the unique backgrounds of all students
This position offers you a consistent, full academic year schedule (August 17, 2026–June 2, 2027) at 33.75 hours per week. A long-term commitment is highly valued, providing an opportunity to become a trusted partner in students' educational journeys.
