Special Education Teacher - Cicero, Illinois

This full-time, contract opportunity begins August 17th and focuses on empowering learners through both inclusion and resource class settings.
You’ll teach 3 inclusion classes and 2 resource classes, managing a caseload of 10-15 students. Two dedicated prep periods built into your schedule allow you to thoughtfully plan curriculum and interventions. A skilled Case Manager will partner with you, handling compliance details and providing ongoing support, leaving you free to focus on students’ growth and achievement.

Desired Qualifications:
- State certification to teach Special Education
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a related teaching role
- Strong organizational skills and a positive, collaborative mindset
- Experience with inclusion and resource settings highly valued

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Deliver engaging instruction in both inclusion and resource classroom settings
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and family communications
- Utilize your two prep periods efficiently to enhance lesson quality and student outcomes
