Special Education Teacher | Circle Pines, Minnesota

Key qualifications:
- Hold a valid Minnesota Special Education License in EBD, ASD, or ABS (Out-of-Field Licensure Placement support is available)
- Experience supporting at-risk students in a secondary education environment
- Strong skills in behavior support and intervention strategies
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Ability to work on-site, supporting students in grades 9–12
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education instruction and support to high school students, accommodating individual educational needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress monitoring, and behavioral interventions as required
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster inclusive learning
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development to ensure best practices
- Engage in ongoing communication to ensure students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Maintain accurate documentation according to district and state regulations
