Special Education Teacher in Circle Pines, MN
Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students as a contract Special Education Teacher for 9th–12th graders in an engaging onsite setting. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, developing dynamic educational programs and providing essential behavioral and academic support for at-risk youth. You’ll have a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, working closely with a team passionate about student success.
What we’re seeking:
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License in EBD, ASD, or ABS
- Experience working with at-risk students in special education settings
- Expertise in behavior management and support strategies
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
- Willingness to support individualized education plans for a diverse high school caseload
- Candidates with out-of-field licensure or working towards appropriate licensure may be considered with district support
- Ability to commit to the full contract term from August 31, 2026 to June 4, 2027
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering effective lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
- Implementing strategies to manage and support positive student behaviors
- Collaborating with general education teachers, families, and service providers
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation for student progress
- Adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Advocating for students and fostering a safe, inclusive classroom community
