Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Intervention Specialist) for K-8 or eligibility to obtain
- Experience with resource room and inclusive classroom settings
- Strong understanding of mild to moderate disabilities and effective intervention strategies
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborative approach and strong communication skills
- Commitment to building positive relationships with students and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both push-in and pull-out services to support individual and small groups of K-8 students
- Create and follow effective resource teaching strategies for mild to moderate disabilities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and interventions
- Develop, write, and implement IEPs for assigned students, maintaining compliance
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction
- Monitor and report student progress, adjusting methods when needed
- Participate in meetings with staff and parents to ensure student success
