Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state credentials as required)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, preferably supporting students with a range of disabilities
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and specialists
- Organizational abilities to manage IEP documentation and progress tracking
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student assessments and needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction in accordance with IEP goals, adapting materials and methods as necessary
- Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and ancillary staff to support each student’s academic development
- Maintain regular communication with families to keep them informed about progress and address concerns
- Track student outcomes and adjust strategies to maximize engagement and achievement
- Foster an encouraging, safe, and inclusive classroom culture for learners of all abilities
