Qualifications & Experience:
- Certified as a Special Education Teacher
- Valid teaching license
- Experience working in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to student learning styles and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in alignment with school policies and legal requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive learning environment
- Track student progress, adjust teaching plans as necessary, and maintain thorough records
- Create an inclusive classroom in which all students are respected and encouraged to achieve
- Provide direct support and intervention for students with varied disabilities
