Qualifications:
- Current special education teaching certification (state-specific)
- Previous classroom experience in a special education setting preferred
- Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans for students
- Modify and adapt curriculum materials and lesson plans to fit individual learner needs
- Deliver engaging instruction in a self-contained or resource classroom, depending on assignment
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain records, progress notes, and data for compliance and reporting
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
