Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid Teacher Certification in Special Education or qualifying area of vacancy
- Experience working with preschool or early elementary students with autism highly preferred
- Familiarity with special education case management, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to diverse learning needs
- Flexibility to respond as new students qualify for services
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the case manager for a caseload of approximately 4–10 students (variable as new students qualify)
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction tailored to preschool-aged children with autism
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school teams
- Support inclusion and promote positive social development
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required assessments
What to Expect:
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday
- Appointment period: Start as soon as HR clearance is complete, through May 2027
- Assignment in one school, fostering stability and relationship-building
