Qualifications & Credentials:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for the state of Ohio
- Previous experience teaching or supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs
- Strong classroom management and organization skills
- Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
- Passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
- Adapt curriculum for the unique needs of 5th-8th grade learners
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support on a daily basis
- Communicate regularly with families and other team members regarding student progress
- Maintain thorough records and documentation in accordance with state and district standards
- Foster a safe, positive classroom culture that supports social, emotional, and academic growth
