Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist K–12 Mild/Moderate License or Alternative Intervention Specialist License required
- Experience providing direct special education support in school settings highly desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage compliance requirements, meet deadlines, and document services accurately
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored special education services aligned with students’ IEPs for a caseload of 16 middle school students (ages 12–14)
- Co-plan with grade 7 and 8 Math and English teachers to support inclusive instruction
- Lead, attend, and document all IEP meetings for assigned students
- Perform comprehensive progress monitoring and maintain all required IEP documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers and staff
- Fulfill additional responsibilities typical to classroom teachers as needed
