A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated and skilled Intervention Specialist for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time, contract role is based in Cleveland and will focus on providing essential special education services to students. The assignment includes professional development and classroom preparation beginning August 3, 2026, with the student academic year starting August 19, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure for Ohio (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in school-based special education, preferably as an Intervention Specialist
- Familiarity with creating, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Skills in case management and progress monitoring for students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration with colleagues and families
- Capacity to adapt instruction and supports for students in both inclusive and small-group settings
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 15–20 students, providing direct special education instruction and support
- Develop, document, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Participate in pre-service professional development starting August 3, 2026, and ongoing trainings as required
- Monitor, record, and report on student progress toward IEP goals
- Engage in ongoing communication with families regarding student growth and needs
- Contribute to positive school culture and team-oriented problem solving
