Job Description
Sunbelt Staffing is excited to partner with a respected school district in the Corona, California area that is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. Key Responsibilities
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
Monitor student achievement through ongoing assessments and data collection
Work closely with general education teachers to support inclusion and classroom accommodations
Build positive relationships with families by providing regular updates on student progress
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary planning sessions

Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying academic and behavioral needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience utilizing positive behavior intervention strategies
Effective classroom organization and time management
Collaborative mindset with a passion for student advocacy
Minimum Qualifications
Active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (or eligibility)
Authorization to provide Special Education services in California
Working knowledge of IDEA, IEP implementation, and California special education guidelines
Ability to pass all district onboarding requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a closely related field
Master's degree welcomed but not required
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting students in resource, inclusion, or self-contained classroom settings
Familiarity with behavior intervention plans and progress monitoring tools
New credentialed teachers are encouraged to apply
