Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher credential
- Experience working in a school or educational setting, preferably at the elementary level
- Expertise in adapting curriculum to meet individual needs, especially for non-verbal students or students with cortical visual impairment
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Unique Learning Systems (ULS) is highly desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 individualized instruction tailored to a non-verbal elementary student with CVI
- Design project-based, sensory-rich, visually adapted, and communication-forward lessons aligned with California CTC Core standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic student growth
- Foster social-emotional development and engagement with peers
- Complete documentation and actively participate in team meetings
