Middle School Elementary Special Education Teacher | Dacono, Colorado
A dynamic contract opportunity awaits a passionate Special Education Teacher ready to support students across the K-8 grade range. This position focuses primarily on providing pull-out services and targeted interventions in reading and math, playing a vital role in fostering growth for learners with diverse educational needs.
In this role, you will collaborate with general education staff, develop individualized education plans, and deliver tailored instruction to students who benefit from additional academic support. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current state certification and licensure as a Special Education Teacher
- Proven ability to work with elementary and middle school students (grades K-8)
- Experience designing and implementing reading and math interventions
- Familiarity with creating and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for family and teacher partnerships
- Adaptability and a student-centered approach to instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide pull-out and/or small group instruction in reading and math for K-8 students
- Assess students’ needs to inform instructional strategies and IEP development
- Track academic progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Maintain compliance with all special education documentation requirements
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
