What we’re looking for:
- Valid Oregon Special Education Teacher certification
- Recent experience supporting individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ability to teach and manage caseloads for students in K-12, in either self-contained or resource settings
- Capability to handle all responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher, including lesson planning, assessment, progress monitoring, and collaboration with colleagues and families
- Strong work ethic, a growth mindset, and a positive, student-centered attitude
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and implementing effective, differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s unique learning needs
- Managing K-12 caseloads, writing and updating IEPs, and maintaining compliance with all documentation
- Collaborating with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families to foster student growth and success
- Building positive, supportive relationships with students and helping them achieve their academic goals
- Ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all learners
