Special Education Teacher | Rossville, Georgia

What you’ll bring:
- Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special Education and General Education Endorsements for Pre-K age groups
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or Paraprofessional, particularly with preschool-aged children
- Comfort with supporting students in the midst of toilet training, diapering, and assisted feeding
- Experience working with non-verbal or minimally verbal children and addressing behavioral challenges
- Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction in a Special Education Pre-K program designed for students with varying ability levels
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, diapering, and feeding, ensuring a respectful and nurturing approach
- Implement communication supports and behavior intervention strategies for non-verbal or low-verbal students
- Collaborate closely with therapists, specialists, and families to develop and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment focusing on student growth and development
- Collect data, observe progress, and provide feedback for ongoing program improvement
