Qualifications:
- Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with endorsements in both Special and General Education for Pre-K age groups
- Experience in early childhood or special education, especially with pre-K or early intervention preferred
- Competence in supporting children with varying levels of need, including non-verbal students and those requiring personal care support
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored to young children
- Strong communication skills, collaborative approach, and a positive, nurturing attitude
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for Pre-K students
- Provide support with toileting, diapering, and feeding as needed
- Adapt and deliver engaging instructional activities in accordance with each child’s development
- Track progress and document daily activities for each student
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Position Details:
- Contract role beginning ASAP through May 21, 2027
- Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
