Step into a vital role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position beginning August 4 and extending through June 4. Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate or significant needs preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and manage special education caseloads (approximately 25 students for mild/moderate, 8-10 for significant needs)
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ unique requirements
- Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and support personnel
- Monitor and document student progress and adapt instruction as needed
- Participate in professional development days as scheduled
- Provide support and advocacy for students’ educational and social-emotional growth
Role Details:
- Contract position with a 40-hour work week, generally spanning 4 days, with occasional additional professional development days
- Assignments are for one school site per teacher, within various schools in the area
- Positions available for immediate interview, with start date in early August
