Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to high school students in a cross-categorical classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs, thoughtfully accommodating and modifying instructional strategies for varying disabilities
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to optimize student progress and promote an inclusive school culture
- Manage a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation
- Regularly assess student achievement, documenting progress and adjusting plans as needed to meet educational goals
- Apply specialized knowledge and strategies for students with autism
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher certification (License #2801) is required
- Proven experience working with high school-aged students in a special education setting
- Demonstrated expertise supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt support to individual student needs
