Make a positive impact supporting students with diverse learning needs in a contract role based near De Pere, WI. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, through June 3, 2027, and requires a passionate and dedicated Special Education professional ready to make a difference across multiple caseloads.
You’ll work with three unique groups: two Autism programs at the elementary level, one Early Childhood (EC) position, and a high school intellectual disability program. Your expertise will help each student achieve their personal best, while you collaborate with supportive colleagues in a dynamic educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education for elementary level
- Behavior endorsement required
- Experience working in Autism programs and/or with students with intellectual disabilities highly preferred
- Ability to adapt instruction and classroom management to student needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and creativity in developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and assess individualized instruction for assigned caseloads
- Develop and monitor IEPs and behavioral intervention plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support professionals, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide direct intervention, support, and advocacy for students
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
