Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in any of the 13 eligibility areas
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school or similar educational setting
- Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere for all learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet student goals and varied learning styles
- Provide direct instruction and interventions to students on your caseload
- Monitor student progress, document achievements, and adjust instruction as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to facilitate student success
- Engage families in regular communication to update on progress and offer guidance
- Maintain detailed records and compliance documentation as required
