What We’re Seeking:
- Valid state of Michigan endorsement as a Special Education Teacher
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school level
- Skilled in designing lessons for students with learning disabilities
- Understanding of IEP processes and collaborative best practices
- Ability to consult, mentor, and support other special education professionals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve one middle school with a full-time schedule from 7:40am–2:43pm
- Guide and support other special education teachers in lesson and intervention planning
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and ensure the needs of each student are met
- Collaborate with related services staff, general educators, and families
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and high-expectation educational environment
- Help evaluate student progress and adapt strategies as needed
