Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education teaching license with Early Childhood Special Education (SPED) endorsement
- Ability to conduct professional evaluations and provide instruction in both English and Spanish
- Experience in early childhood or special education settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and educators
- Flexibility to support multiple sites and contribute to district-wide evaluations
- Commitment to timely completion of credentialing and district-required documents before the assignment begins
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the Bilingual Child Find Evaluation Team
- Carry out child find evaluations for early childhood students at designated elementary schools and additional district-wide locations
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans in collaboration with school psychologists, administrators, and families
- Maintain documentation and adhere to compliance requirements as directed by the district
- Support students across at least two elementary schools; potential for wider district involvement
- Foster an inclusive, culturally responsive environment for children and families
- Participate in professional development and contribute expertise to the multidisciplinary team
This contract runs through May 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
