Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with an Early Childhood Special Education (EC SPED) endorsement.
- Bilingual proficiency essential for conducting evaluations and communicating effectively with diverse families.
- Experience with Child Find evaluations and early childhood special education practices preferred.
- Adaptable and comfortable working across multiple school sites and district-level evaluations.
- Ability to complete required district contractor credentialing documentation before assignment begins.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for bilingual preschool and early elementary-aged children in various educational settings, including North Star Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and potential district-wide sites.
- Collaborate with the district's evaluation team to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support recommendations.
- Communicate findings and next steps to families and multidisciplinary teams, utilizing strong bilingual skills to ensure understanding.
- Travel between locations as needed for on-site assessment and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state documentation requirements.
