Special Education Teacher | Denver, Colorado

In this position, you’ll work within a bilingual Child Find Evaluation Team, conducting essential district-level assessments for children ages 3-5 at North Star Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and other possible district locations. This flexible opening welcomes both bilingual Early Childhood Special Education Teachers and bilingual School Psychologists who are passionate about ensuring all students receive the services they need to thrive.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement, or equivalent credentials for School Psychologists
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience working in early childhood special education or school psychology, especially conducting Child Find or multidisciplinary evaluations
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and early intervention strategies
- Commitment to equity and inclusivity in education
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bilingual Child Find evaluations at assigned schools and district-level locations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide culturally responsive support and guidance to families throughout the evaluation process
- Maintain detailed assessment records and fulfill district documentation requirements
- Adhere to time-sensitive district credentialing and procedural guidelines
