Special Education Teacher - Denver, CO

We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to fill full-time contract positions across elementary, high school, and center-based middle school settings. As a vital contributor, you will make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal growth by providing individualized support and collaborating closely with general education staff.
Opportunities are available for:
- Elementary Special Education (caseload of 15-20 students)
- High School Special Education (caseload of 15-20 students)
- Center-Based Middle School Special Education (caseload of 4 students)
Most services are delivered through a push-in model, focusing on inclusive practices and fostering an environment where all students can thrive.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience teaching students with varying needs, especially within a push-in model, is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to personalized, student-centered instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction and support to students within general education settings
- Adapt curriculum and lessons to meet diverse learning styles and needs
- Coordinate with general and special education teams, paraprofessionals, and families
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate documentation
- Nurture a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values student strengths and promotes growth
