- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Prior experience in a self-contained special education setting preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to students in a self-contained elementary therapeutic classroom
- Implement and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment focused on students' academic and social-emotional growth
- Assess, document, and report student progress toward IEP goals
- Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administration to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized strategies for student success
