Special Education Teacher - Detroit, MI

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (K-8 preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with K-8 populations and IEP implementation
- Passion for fostering inclusive learning environments
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Comfortable using technology for instruction and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Differentiate instruction in accordance with students’ abilities and goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Provide small group and individualized instruction to support learning
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Communicate progress and strategies to families and team members
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom that prioritizes safety and growth
