Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold valid Missouri Special Education Teaching certification.
- Prior experience with K-12 student populations, ideally working with a variety of caseloads.
- Comfortable managing self-contained or resource classroom settings.
- Solid understanding of IEPs, with proven ability to contribute to meetings and develop effective plans.
- Ability to perform all typical duties associated with Special Education, including adapting curriculum and supporting diverse learning needs.
- Committed work ethic, a strong growth mindset, and a consistently positive, innovative attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on student needs and IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress, implement interventions, and ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate actively in IEP meetings and planning.
- Foster a supportive and respectful classroom community that promotes academic, social, and emotional success.
