Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (appropriate to Massachusetts regulations)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Demonstrated experience with IEP development and implementation
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous work with diverse student populations is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver instruction tailored to students’ individual needs
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Adapt curriculum and modify lessons to enable student access to grade-level content
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide small group and one-on-one instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records and complete required reports and documentation
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
