With a dual-teacher model in every classroom and a focus on ELA, you’ll collaborate with other skilled educators, exchange innovative strategies, and boost your expertise in both general and special education settings. For those interested in getting a head start, ESY (Extended School Year) work is available beginning July 6th.
Qualifications:
- Valid General Education or Special Education certification (SPED experience preferred)
- Experience in special education settings, especially alternative classrooms, is highly desired
- Ability to support students with moderate behavioral needs in a high school ELA-focused caseload
- Passion for developing inclusive, student-centered learning plans
Responsibilities:
- Co-teach with a partner educator in a supportive, two-teacher classroom model
- Develop and implement engaging ELA curriculum tailored to individual student needs
- Foster a positive, structured environment for students referred from area schools
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student development
