Special Education Teacher in Dover, PA

Seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a contract role in the Hanover area, working primarily with itinerant pre-school students. This opportunity involves meaningful, hands-on work supporting young learners and their families throughout various locations in the region, with a home base provided for support and resources.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current, active Pennsylvania teaching certification for Special Education is required and must be submitted with your application.
- Proven experience in early childhood special education or pre-school settings preferred.
- Ability to travel daily to multiple school sites and some locations in Adams County; reliable transportation is essential.
- Excellent communication, flexibility, and organizational skills to support a diverse caseload of pre-schoolers.
- Capable of collaborating effectively with families, therapists, and school teams to best support each child’s development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized instruction and support to pre-school children with special learning needs at various locations.
- Develop and implement tailored teaching strategies to address IFSP/IEP goals.
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents, service coordinators, and fellow educators to ensure comprehensive support.
- Travel throughout the service area according to student and family needs, using NOCO as your home base.
- Maintain accurate records regarding student progress, lesson plans, and required documentation.
This contract position is slated from July 1, 2026, through September 11, 2026, with a weekday schedule of 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
