Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged students
- Strong knowledge of reading instruction and intervention strategies
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Previous contract or travel experience in school settings is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and individualized reading instruction to students with varying abilities
- Write, review, and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Assess students’ progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly
- Partner closely with regular education staff, therapists, and families to coordinate student support
