Special Education Teacher | Dozier, Alabama

Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with K-12 students with significant cognitive impairments
- Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead teacher for a caseload of 12 students, Monday through Friday from 7:15am-3:15pm (37.5 hours per week)
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Oversee instructional team members, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with related service providers and paraprofessionals to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed to achieve IEP goals
- Engage with families and caretakers to ensure strong support networks for students
