Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate required
- Solid grasp of special education procedures and developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
- Experience teaching PreK and Kindergarten curriculum
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with educators, students, and families
- Familiarity with adapting lessons to diverse learning needs
- Ability to work onsite in a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to young students with special needs
- Assess students’ progress and adapt plans to enhance development and achievement
- Develop and maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation
- Consult with parents, teachers, and support staff to coordinate services and provide updates
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Participate in team meetings and support school-wide special education initiatives
