Special Education Teacher - Eagle, Colorado
Make a direct impact supporting early learners as a Special Education Teacher in the beautiful Eagle, Colorado area. This contract opportunity runs from August 10, 2026 through May 28, 2027, offering the chance to work across multiple school sites with a dedicated PreK caseload of 10-20 students. Enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week. Compensation for this position ranges from $40–$55 per hour, reflecting your expertise in special education with early childhood students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with PreK and early childhood populations
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt instruction based on student needs and diverse backgrounds
- Collaborative approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Willingness to work at more than one site within the school district
- Commitment to on-site teaching (virtual work is not available for this role)
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
- Work directly with children in small groups and individualized settings
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth in a supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
- Maintain clear records on student progress and document all interventions
- Build partnerships with families to support each child’s educational journey
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal SPED regulations
