Special Education Teacher - Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by joining a dynamic team of Special Education Teachers serving multiple schools in the greater St. Paul area. This long-term contract role offers the opportunity to support students in a range of settings, from autism programs to developmental cognitive disabilities, as well as itinerant and homebound services.
You’ll work on-site at one of several district campuses, collaborating with other dedicated educators and support staff. Each assignment brings a unique caseload, offering you the chance to develop your skills in specialized settings and help students reach their full potential.
What we’re looking for:
- Current and valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Experience in one or more of the following: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), or general special education
- Adaptability and strong communication skills for working across diverse school sites and with various student needs
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching small groups of students with varying needs, with caseloads ranging from 4-19 students depending on assignment
- Collaborating with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Providing direct instruction, accommodations, and support as outlined in student IEPs
- Reporting progress and maintaining compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements
- Delivering homebound educational services as needed for select positions
This assignment runs through June 11, 2026, with standard school hours and the chance to work in a supportive learning community.
