Desired Qualifications:
- Current Special Education (SPED) Licensure
- Alternatively, candidates with General Education experience and a valid Gen Ed PELSB License (T2 – T4) may be considered if willing to complete an out-of-field form
- Practical experience or demonstrated aptitude working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs
- Dedication to creating inclusive, engaging, and individualized educational experiences
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Reflective, flexible, and adaptable approach to teaching in a dynamic environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to a small group of K-6 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with input from families and other professionals
- Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies to meet each child’s needs
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth
- Collaborate with general education staff to ensure all students can access the curriculum
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with caregivers
