Special Education Teacher - Eden Prairie, Minnesota

An exciting contract opportunity awaits experienced Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year. Three positions are available, working with students in special programs across all age groups and developmental levels.
In this role, you’ll deliver specialized instruction and individualized support within an inclusive school setting. The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours weekly. You’ll join a dedicated team serving a diverse caseload of students who require tier 3 or tier 4 interventions. This is a fully on-site position, offering the chance to engage directly with students, families, and colleagues.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:
- A valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
- Experience working in special education—ideally with a range of ages and needs
- Deep knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant compliance requirements
- Skill supporting students in tailored, high-needs programs
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for partnering with staff and families
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized instruction for assigned students
- Assessing student progress and adapting approaches as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation per state and district guidelines
- Collaborating with general education staff, support specialists, and administration
- Actively participating in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
