This full-time contract position is based onsite, serving a dedicated student caseload in a supportive and collaborative high school environment. Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities.
- Demonstrated experience working in special education, preferably in a center-based classroom.
- Expertise in differentiated instruction, IEP development, and implementation.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to partner with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Dedication to supporting students with various developmental and cognitive needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging instruction, support, and interventions tailored to students with developmental cognitive disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure compliance and student progress.
- Adapt curriculum and classroom activities to meet diverse learning needs and promote student growth.
- Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, and families to deliver comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school and state requirements.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
