Your commitment and expertise in special education will support caseloads of approximately 20 students, with the assistance of paraprofessionals and behavioral aides. One unique opportunity is available for early childhood specialists who are open to conducting at-home visits, ensuring comprehensive support for families with young children. Flexible part-time opportunities also exist, including roles at local elementary and middle schools, as well as a potential position with schedule and location to be determined.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Minnesota teaching license in special education (required)
- Proven experience with a range of mild to moderate disability categories
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to partner effectively with other professionals and families
- Willingness to support students at various grade levels, including possible early childhood intervention
- Comfortable providing instruction in both traditional classroom and home settings (for early education role)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, behavioral aides, and general education staff to support inclusive practices
- Deliver direct instruction and academic interventions, tracking progress toward goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and family conferences
- Conduct home visits as needed for early education caseloads
