Special Education Teacher | Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled Special Education Teachers passionate about making a positive difference for students with diverse learning needs. Multiple positions are open, including full-time and part-time options, as well as a unique early childhood role involving home visits, all with assignments running from ASAP through June 11, 2027.
Full-time roles are based in supportive environments with manageable caseloads (around 20 students each) at specialized schools, each staffed with paraeducators and BEH aide support. Part-time roles offer the flexibility of 2–3 days per week, with specific locations to be determined. For those with early education expertise, the additional opening includes working closely with families during home visits to support our youngest learners.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Minnesota teaching license is required
- Previous experience working in special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Adaptable approach to meeting individual student needs
- For early childhood positions: comfort conducting at-home educational visits
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide guidance, structure, and assistance to paraeducators and support staff
- For early childhood, engage with families to provide targeted at-home developmental support
