Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Minnesota special education teaching license required
- Desire to support diverse learners with compassion and consistency
- Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with paraprofessionals, behavioral aides, and families
- Experience with IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementation preferred
- Adaptability to meet the unique needs of students across different age groups and learning profiles
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized lesson plans
- Managing case loads of around 20 students, with support from paras and behavioral aides
- Contributing to a multidisciplinary team to support positive, inclusive educational experiences
- Conducting regular assessments, maintaining documentation, and participating in IEP meetings
- For early education roles: conducting home visits and partnering with families to support early intervention
