Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License, or eligibility for licensure
- Background working with students who have a variety of learning needs is highly valued
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and motivational classroom atmosphere
- Demonstrated skill in collaborating with general education staff, families, and support professionals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction according to IEP goals and state curriculum standards
- Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans to meet varying student abilities
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and collaborate on IEP development and review
- Partner with other educators, therapists, and family members to support holistic student success
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to grow expertise
