Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity runs weekdays from 8am–4pm, with the assignment extending through June 2027. You’ll make a difference across four schools, providing individualized instruction and support for a caseload of 30-40 elementary students.
Bring your expertise to a collaborative environment where you’ll conduct evaluations, create effective learning plans, and foster a positive classroom experience for students with diverse needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current NJ Teaching Certification (Special Education)
- Experience supporting elementary-aged children with special needs
- Strong ability to develop and adapt individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Confidence in conducting assessments and progress evaluations
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as needed
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering engaging instruction to groups and individuals within multiple schools
- Developing, implementing, and updating IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
- Conducting ongoing student evaluations and maintaining thorough records
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and administrators to maximize student success
- Creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment
- Communicating progress and challenges to parents and educational teams
