This contract opportunity offers the chance to support a caseload of 10-20 students across multiple sites. The position runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, providing a full academic year of impactful teaching within a dynamic and caring educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification, with experience in early childhood or PreK strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of diverse learning needs and ability to create inclusive, supportive classroom experiences
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, school staff, and paraprofessionals
- Adaptable and comfortable working across multiple campus locations within the district
- Passion for fostering growth and success in young children with varying abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs in accordance with IEPs
- Monitor and assess student progress, documenting growth and adjusting instructional approaches as needed
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to maximize each student’s development
- Maintain organized records, meeting deadlines for documentation and reporting
- Foster a nurturing and positive classroom atmosphere, promoting participation and engagement
- Encourage social, emotional, and academic development within a supportive learning community
