Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher credentials with Mild/Moderate Authorization
  • Autism Authorization (AAAS) required
  • Experience teaching middle and/or high school students, ideally in an alternative or non-public school setting
  • Strong commitment to individualized instruction, inclusive practices, and IEP development
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students who have diverse learning needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, aides, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction for students with autism and mild/moderate disabilities
  • Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide academic, behavioral, and social support in both individual and small group settings
  • Maintain accurate records and meet compliance for documentation and reporting
  • Partner with fellow educators and support staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Actively participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
