Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher credentials with Mild/Moderate Authorization
- Autism Authorization (AAAS) required
- Experience teaching middle and/or high school students, ideally in an alternative or non-public school setting
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction, inclusive practices, and IEP development
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students who have diverse learning needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, aides, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction for students with autism and mild/moderate disabilities
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social support in both individual and small group settings
- Maintain accurate records and meet compliance for documentation and reporting
- Partner with fellow educators and support staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Actively participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
