Special Education Teacher | Elgin, Illinois

Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
- Prior experience in a self-contained classroom environment
- Expertise with autism support strategies and adaptive curriculum
- Strong communication, flexibility, and organizational skills
- Dedication to building positive, cooperative relationships with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver targeted lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Create and maintain a supportive, structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with other professionals and paraprofessionals
- Build and adapt IEPs in alignment with district and state guidelines
- Track progress and communicate regularly with families and team members
- Foster independence and social-emotional growth among students
