Special Education Teacher - Elizabeth, New Jersey

Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Teaching License with Students with Disabilities endorsement

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
- Ability to adapt instruction and environment to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support in an autism-specific elementary classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with student needs and state regulations
- Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere tailored to individual learning and communication styles
- Work collaboratively with paraeducators, therapists, and other specialists
- Engage with families to support student growth and extend learning beyond the classroom
